10. Masiakasaurus
This predator ate fish like the Onchopristis and the Coelacanth. It had long teeth to catch them.
9. Carnoturus
At 8 meters long Carnotaurus was a frightening sight.
For years it was thought that Carnotaurus was a grim hunter that dominated but now recent studies show that its bite was very weak.
This means that it was probably a scavenger, not a hunter.
8. Ichthyovenator
Ichthyovenator was a large relative of Spinosaurus.
Like Spinosaurus, Ichthyovenator ate fish.
This Argentinean herbivore lived in herds just like zebras.
It probably used its sail to look bigger than it actually was.
6. Epidepsipterx
At 25cm long, Epidepsipterx was not the largest or meanest dinosaur but it was just as spectacular.
Some paleontologists say that Epidepsipterx used its tail feathers to attract mates.
5. Hetrodontosaurus
This dino had many different types of teeth.
4. Oranosaurus
This African dinosaur grew to 8 meters in length.
It lived with Spinosaurus.
3. Nothronychus
Nothronychus was a North American herbivore that was a close relative of the Tyrannosauridaes.
Did you know that Nothronychus's name means sloth-like claw?
In fact, it probably used these claws to defend its self.
2. Therizinosaurus
Therizinosaurus was an 11-meter long relative of Nothronychus.Like Nothroychus, Therizinosaurus use its claws for defense.
1. Deinocheirus
This dinosaur had a hump on its back.
I like the diversity of your top 10! Nothronychus really does look like a sloth and Epidepsipterx is stunning to look at. My favourite here is the Carnotaurus, it is fascinating learning about the developments scientists make over time. Great Post!
