Triassic Life

 Herrerasaurus

At 5 meters long, Herrerasaurus wasn't the biggest or meanest dinosaur.

But it was still highly dangerous.

Its arms were short but its hands were long.

Postosuchus

In the Triassic dinosaurs didn't rule, instead, crocodile-like predators called rauisuchids dominated.
The largest was called Postosuchus.
It used its powerful jaws to seize prey.

Coelophysis

Coelophysis was an agile predator.
Its speed meant that it could escape from larger predators like Postosuchus.

Placerias

Placerias was the largest and last of the dicynodonts.
When it went extinct the dicynodonts were doomed.

Plateosaurus

In the Triassic sauropods didn't evolve.
Instead, dinosaurs called prosauropods were in their place.
Plateosaurus was one.
It measured 10 meters long.

Nothosaurus

Nothosaurus was a marine animal but it sometimes came on to land.

Shonisaurus
